From March 2 to April 27, 2024, 193 Gallery presents "Oasis d'Abondance", a solo show by Enfant Précoce. The artist, who wields color to sing the dynamics of the body with radiance and joy, is exhibiting his paintings for the first time in a gallery. His childlike handwriting is his signature. He cultivates the ingenuity of the child's gaze, free to say what he thinks, spontaneously, and who knows how to draw joy and lightness from everything. For his first exhibition, Enfant Précoce will evoke the resilience of migrants and their descendants. It will highlight the courage and formidable, silent strength of those we forget to see.
Enfant Précoce paints reality and dreams at the same time. His inspiration is sharpened by current events. Each of his works makes a point, evoking the common things that punctuate our lives and the major upheavals that overwhelm them. So, for this exhibition, the artist's multi-faceted touch will offer a voice to those we don't hear, and a body to those whom society makes invisible. Enfant Précoce will evoke the fantasy of Europe, a utopia for those fleeing a country that has stopped considering them, and the collapse of the dream. Because France is far from the Eldorado it was supposed to be.
Opening on March 2nd, 2024, from 4pm to 9pm.
